Summary of the report prepared by the CAM.
This work is a study on the economica-social situation of the Mexican workers who participated in the bracero program of 1942-1965 along with its current economic and social implications.
Is vitally important to know, analyze and deal with the problems that the Mexican workers called "braceros" have faced, during the decades of the 40, 50, and 60. Millions of workers faced a long history of exploitation, repression, discrimination and dispossession. Today again the ex-braceos face, in unequal
situation, the Mexican State that acts with tricks, indifference and forgetfulness. The senior leaders of the incumbent Government, during more than 60 years and to date have used over more 670 million pesos – plus interest that have generated this -, product of years of work by the braceros in the agricultural field in the United States (EU); It is then that we see the importance of return to this story of claim and plunder.
